Florence House Earns “Good” CQC Rating

We are thrilled to announce that Florence House has received a “Good” rating in its latest Care Quality Commission (CQC) inspection. This recognition is a testament to the dedication of our colleagues, who provide exceptional support to people with learning disabilities, autism, and complex needs. The inspection praised Florence House across five key areas: safety, effectiveness, caring, responsiveness, and leadership.

The report highlighted the significant positive impact of our colleagues, noting their proactive engagement and unwavering commitment to safeguarding. Our colleagues’ dedication to personalised care, which prioritises the well-being and unique needs of each individual, was central to the praise. Families and professionals provided overwhelmingly positive feedback, affirming that individuals at Florence House feel safe, respected, and included in decisions about their care, fostering a sense of autonomy and empowerment.

The CQC further commended our efforts in reducing incidents, managing medicines effectively, and maintaining robust, adaptable care plans. Regular audits and team meetings ensure a responsive and well-led service, creating a supportive environment where individuals can flourish. The strong sense of community at Florence House, combined with activities promoting independence and inclusion, was another key strength highlighted in the report.
