We’re delighted to share some fantastic news about our Kirklands service, which was recently inspected by the Care Quality Commission (CQC) and achieved a “Good” rating!
This achievement is a testament to the unwavering commitment and dedication of the Kirklands team to provide high standards of care to the people we support.
The inspection was Registered Manager Rob’s first! Rob’s leadership was instrumental in sharing the support that he and our colleagues consistently offer, going above and beyond to ensure positive outcomes for the people we support.
The feedback received from the inspector was heartwarming, acknowledging the commitment and dedication of the Kirklands team. The team can all feel very proud as the inspector praised their efforts in ensuring a quality of care and highlighted their commitment to the well-being of the people we support.
The people we support, their families and loved ones expressed their satisfaction with the service, with one relative stating, “They’re well known by staff members; they are their second parent.”
The registered manager, Rob, received high praise, with remarks like, “The Registered Manager is great.”
One standout aspect of the feedback was the emphasis on respecting and promoting individuality. The Kirklands team demonstrated an in-depth understanding of the people they support, ensuring that each person receives tailored care and support. The commitment to individualised care was evident in examples such as encouraging and supporting individuals in activities they wanted to try, such as open sea fishing.
The CQC’s positive evaluation extended to the effective management and governance processes at Kirklands. The service was recognided for its strong governance, which not only held colleagues accountable but also contributed to the safety, rights protection, and delivery of high-quality care and support. Policies and procedures were in place to guide colleagues, and their positive feedback highlighted the supportive environment that Rob has helped to create.
